How to Feng Shui a Bedroom?

The bedroom is an important location within the house as that is where we sleep and recharge our batteries for the next day. It is a place that should be calm and peaceful with adequate fresh air circulation and safe from undesirable negative energies.

Feng Shui recommends for the bedroom to be located at a considerable distance from the front door and entrance. If the door is far from the bedroom, the positive energy flow will not leave the house.

2. Windows

Another vital element for the bedroom’s location is the windows. According to the Chinese the positive energy, known as ‘chi’ generally flows between the windows and the door. Thus, the bed should not be placed in an area without energy flow.
For your calmness and security sense, place the bed in such a way that you can see the bedroom’s door. Still, make sure the bed is not close to the door.
During sleeping you can preserve the ‘chi’ by keeping a fair space between your bed and the window. If you sleep with your head facing the window, the chi will pour out and you’ll be exhausted and tired in the morning.
Thus, the basic Feng Shui house elements are the doors and windows and the relation of these two elements. Pay attention during the construction of your home to get the most out of it.

3. Final Considerations

It is important for the bathroom and toilet doors to be closed when you are at home as these two places have the highest energy flow.
The next common belief regards the protection of chi at night. Your bed should have a stable and sturdy headboard to protect the good energy and also to recharge it.
Feng Shui the bedroom of your house to fill it with health, happiness and a good energy flow!
