Are you tired of your old-fashioned, dark and boring living room? Or perhaps you are moving into a new house and you want to arrange and decorate it according to your personal preferences? Well, whatever the reason is, here are some really creative tips for a brand new, stylish interior design.

1. Choose the right colours

This is the most important interior advice, which every interior designer will give you. The colour scheme of your home is among the first things that you will need to consider when planning to decorate your apartment. It plays a very big role in the overall atmosphere of your house. It is very important to choose it according to you personal needs. If your home is small and the furniture occupies most of the space in it, then you should choose some bright colours like white, yellow and orange. It will be a burst of sunshine  for you and your family. If, on the other hand, you don’t have problems with the space, but you get that weird feeling that you will get lost in your own apartment, then perhaps you will have to consider the option to add some extra contrast in the overall colour scheme or even determine some separate areas such as a kitchen area, an area around the dining table and, of course, the bedroom. It is a very modern and stylish interior decision.

2. Pay attention to the small details

This is another very essential tip. A lot of people think that huge, massive furniture are the things that make their home look cosy. But the truth is that small details are much more important. Family pictures, cushions, paintings, candles, flowers and even souvenirs (which many people consider as useless and old-fashioned) – these are the things that contribute to the overall atmosphere of your home.

3. Light

Desk lamps, standard lamps or chandeliers. You can choose among a great number of different lamps and the best part is that no matter what kind of lighting you will choose, you can be absolutely sure that it will be suitable. Whether you want to improve the look of your bedroom, or you just want to buy some nice solar lamp for your garden, you can be sure that you will make the right choice.

4. Minimalistic interior design

Simplicity of lines and forms, lack of decoration and ornaments and creative architectural ideas. This is the shortest definition of the minimalistic interior design. It is a wonderful combination of style; simple forms and luxury. There is only three simple binding rules, that you will have to stick to – monochrome; graphicness and plenty of free space. The rest is up to you and your ideas.

 5. Indoor plants

Indoor plants are the best way to bring nature into your home. There is a great number of forms and colours, which can be a wonderful addition to your interior. Of course, not everyone can afford to take care of some rare, pretentious flowers. So if you are too busy to grow plants on your balcony, but you are really keen on this idea, perhaps the best solution for you is to buy some flowers, which will not take much of your spare time. Choose some plants, which require neither some special treatment, nor too much efforts.
